Key points:
- Tipico has signed a three-year deal with the German Football Association (DFB) to become an official partner of the 3. Liga from the 2025/26 season
- Revenue from the agreement will be distributed directly to all 20 clubs in the league
Tipico and the Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) have announced an extension of their existing partnership.
From 1 July 2025, Tipico will become an official partner of Germany’s 3. Liga, in an agreement that will run through to the end of the 2027/28 season.
Tipico already holds partnerships with the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and the men’s and women’s DFB Cup competitions. This new agreement makes Tipico the only brand currently partnered with all professional football competitions in Germany.
The partnership includes central advertising rights across the 3. Liga. These rights cover joint Tipico and league branding on the right sleeve of all team kits, perimeter advertising during televised matches and various digital assets. Most of the revenue generated will be passed directly to the 20 clubs in the league on an annual basis.
Kajetan Strini-Brown, Tipico Director of Marketing & Brand, stated: "3. Liga is pure football: packed stadiums, passionate competition, hope and suspense – it's a perfect match for Tipico!
Good to know: Tipico is licensed in Germany and listed on the official register of authorised sports betting providers
"We are therefore extremely excited to work together to further strengthen the appeal and visibility of this special league.
“For us, the 3. Liga is the logical extension of our commitment to German football, as we are now partner of all professional competitions.
"We have been working with the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga for many years and have also partnered with the DFB for a year already."
The partnership aligns with Tipico’s launch of its Trusted Partner initiative, a programme aimed at promoting licensed operators and combating black market gambling.
