The Thai Government has reaffirmed its intention to advance the proposed integrated entertainment complex, with legislation scheduled to be introduced in Parliament next month.

Despite opposition from segments of the political landscape, officials remain confident that the project will proceed on schedule.

As reported by The Nation, Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat confirmed that the draft bill for the entertainment complex will go before the House of Representatives in July. He acknowledged that the Bhumjaithai Party has publicly declared its opposition to the initiative but insisted this would not be enough to halt progress.

Julapun said the Coalition Government holds sufficient parliamentary support to see the bill through its first reading and beyond. He expressed confidence that the legislation would be enacted within the one-year timeframe originally outlined by the administration.

The proposed entertainment complex is a key component of Prime Minister’s broader economic plan. It is designed to serve as a major driver of investment, tourism and job creation across multiple provinces. Julapun reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency and public consultation, promising to incorporate feedback as the project progresses.

He concluded that the development represents a significant opportunity for Thailand’s economy and society, and that the Government remains dedicated to managing the process responsibly, while ensuring long-term public benefit.
