Virginia Lottery launches first US iLottery virtual sports through Aristocrat-led partnership

The Virginia Lottery has launched a new virtual sports offering, becoming the first US iLottery to introduce such games via a regulated digital platform.
Known as VSports, the games are delivered through a collaboration between Aristocrat Interactive, NeoPollard Interactive (NPI) and Inspired Entertainment.
VSports titles simulate real-world sporting events such as football, basketball and horse racing, with results generated through a certified random number generator.
While the games use a lottery draw format, they operate on a frequent schedule, every two to three minutes and are designed to replicate the entertainment experience of live sports, without being connected to real-world outcomes.
The games were developed by Inspired Entertainment, with integration supported by Aristocrat Interactive’s aggregation system Fusion.
NeoPollard Interactive, a joint venture between Aristocrat and Pollard Banknote, facilitated the delivery of the content through its existing relationship with the Virginia Lottery.
