Key points:
- DigiPlus to enter Brazil’s regulated iGaming market in September 2025
- Localised games to be launched via newly built AWS-powered infrastructure
- Expansion follows leadership overhaul and shift to international growth
DigiPlus Interactive is set to launch its Brazil operations in September 2025, becoming the latest international operator to enter Latin America’s newly regulated iGaming sector.
With a population of over 200 million and internet penetration nearing 90%, Brazil represents a key growth market for the company, which operates digital gaming brands such as BingoPlus and ArenaPlus in the Philippines. DigiPlus cited an estimated US$4.6bn market value for Brazil’s iGaming sector, based on figures from LCA Economic Consulting.
The company plans to introduce livestreamed games, slots, table games and proprietary digital content to Brazilian users. Its rollout will be delivered through DigiPlus’ upgraded infrastructure, following a migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS) earlier this year.
Eusebio Tanco, DigiPlus Chairman, said: “We are excited to bring world-class entertainment to new markets, bringing the strengths and expertise that we have established in the Philippines. Our entry into Brazil is part of our strategic expansion program to usher DigiPlus’ next phase of growth.”
Good to know: DigiPlus recently appointed Tommy Hu as CEO and Rick Li as Chief Digital Officer to lead its global strategy
A local team is already in place in Brazil, including Graham Tidey, who was appointed country manager in March. The company said the local presence would allow it to tailor products to cultural preferences and regulatory requirements, while supporting responsible gaming efforts.
The Brazil launch comes months after the government finalised iGaming regulations in 2024. The framework includes licensing provisions, consumer protections and a defined tax structure, enabling international operators to enter the market legally.
DigiPlus’ expansion to Brazil follows a broader leadership transition in June, with a renewed focus on regulated global markets and digital innovation. CEO Tommy Hu previously led the company’s transformation in the Philippines, while Rick Li joined from Ant Group to oversee digital strategy.
