Qatar Goodwood Festival secures 39 global broadcasters
The coverage arrangement, coordinated by Racecourse Media Group and HBA Media in partnership with Goodwood Racecourse, will make the festival available to audiences across 170 countries.
Key points:
– 2025 Qatar Goodwood Festival will be broadcast by 39 networks in 170 countries, a new record
– Coverage includes major platforms in the Middle East, Asia, North and South America, and Europe
The 2025 Qatar Goodwood Festival, presented by Visit Qatar, will enjoy unprecedented international exposure this year, with a record 39 broadcasters confirmed to showcase the five-day event across 170 countries.
Often referred to as ‘Glorious Goodwood’, the festival is a key fixture in the global horseracing calendar.
The broadcast agreement was facilitated by Racecourse Media Group (RMG) and HBA Media, working closely with Goodwood Racecourse to extend the event’s global footprint.
Broadcasters from the Middle East, Far East, North America, South America, Africa and Europe will carry live coverage, while several – including ITV (UK), FanDuel (US) and Yas TV (Abu Dhabi) – will provide on-site reporting from the Sussex Downs.
Key markets include the Middle East, where Al Kass, Dubai Racing Channel and Yas TV will cover the full meeting, and Asia, where platforms such as Japan’s Netkeiba and Hong Kong’s HKJC TV will reach large numbers of viewers.
In North America, coverage will be available via Fox Sports and FanDuel, while South America and the Caribbean will have access through ESPN/Disney+.
SuperSport in Africa and Fancode in India are also among the notable participants.
Good to know: Broadcasters can choose between a three-hour feed or a condensed 90-minute programme focused on the day’s feature race
Commenting on the development, Racecourse Director at Goodwood Racecourse, James Crespi, stated: “We are delighted so many broadcasters from all corners of the world have committed to showing the Qatar Goodwood Festival, presented by Visit Qatar.
“The record exposure, secured by RMG and HBA Media, is testament to the international prominence the festival now holds, and we hope the broadcasters and their audiences enjoy what should be a fabulous week.”
This year’s festival also benefits from extended commercial partnerships, including Coral’s renewed race sponsorship through 2027 – announced earlier this week. The renewed partnership sees Coral continuing as the title-sponsor of 11 races, nine of which will be televised on ITV.
