SCCG and Crowe Uruguay team up for educational initiative
SCCG Management has announced a partnership with consultancy firm, Crowe Uruguay, to deliver an educational program for regulators and professionals in the South American country.
Key points:
– The program will be rooted in the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s Minimum Internal Control Standards
– It will include training focused on policy work, regulatory frameworks, compliance protocols and enforcement tools
– Course will be delivered in Spanish and English
SCCG has announced a move to expand its global compliance and educational efforts through a partnership with Crowe Uruguay.
Together, the two consultancy firms are going to deliver a new initiative intended to improve oversight, and support the government regulators and professionals monitoring online gaming activity in Uruguay.
They will be delivering a fully bilingual training program aimed at equipping attendees with the political, technical, regulatory and enforcement tools they need to tackle the specific practicalities of the Uruguayan market.
The programme will be built on the tenets of the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s Minimum Internal Control Standards, and SCCG will also be drawing on the aid of I3 Integrity for the compliance element of the course, a pre-existing strategic partner.
Stephen Crystal, Founder and CEO of SCCG Management said: “Partnering with Crowe Uruguay reflects our mission to share proven regulatory methodologies with international markets. By building practical bridges between established standards and local oversight needs, we’re not just transferring knowledge, we’re helping to shape a more transparent, effective global gaming ecosystem.”
Good to know: A recent proposed bill to reform land-based gambling in Uruguay included a reform that would require casino floors to feature clearly visible digital clocks
Crowe Uruguay is part of the wider Crowe consultancy group that provides a wide array of accountancy services in 130 countries worldwide.
The objective of the collaboration reflects work that SCCG have been pursuing in Africa – earlier in 2025, it helped set up the iGC summit in Morocco, an effort to open up the African market by bringing together entrepreneurial and educational expertise from across the continent.
Uruguay has not yet regulated online gambling, though the matter has been discussed at length by various stakeholders; politicians have expressed a sentiment that there is not enough education about, and understanding of, problem gambling in the country.
