Dylan Slaney leaves Light & Wonder to become Aristocrat Interactive CEO
Leadership reshuffle to support continued growth strategy.
Key points:
– Dylan Slaney appointed CEO of Aristocrat Interactive, replacing Moti Malul
– Barry French takes over as Chief Corporate Affairs & Marketing Officer
– Changes take effect from November 2025 and are part of group-wide realignment
Aristocrat Leisure has announced key leadership changes across two of its strategic business units, with new appointments in both its Interactive and Corporate Affairs divisions.
In a statement released by the company, it confirmed that Moti Malul, current CEO of Aristocrat Interactive, will leave the organisation in March 2026 following the completion of his notice period. Malul previously led NeoGames through its acquisition by Aristocrat and was instrumental in launching Aristocrat Interactive 18 months ago.
Following a global search, Dylan Slaney has been named as the incoming CEO of Aristocrat Interactive. He is expected to assume the role on 3 November 2025, pending regulatory approvals. Slaney has held leadership roles at Light & Wonder, NYX and SG Digital, and will be based in London.
Slaney’s move is significant because, previously, key Aristocrat executives had moved the other way, including Light & Wonder CEO Matt Wilson and Light & Wonder Gaming CEO Siobhan Lane. The two suppliers also have an ongoing legal dispute.
Separately, Natalie Toohey, who has served as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for nearly seven years, will step down to pursue new opportunities. She will remain available for transitional support on a consultancy basis.
Good to know: Aristocrat Interactive was formed after the group’s acquisition of NeoGames and aims to lead in the iLottery and iGaming segments
Her role will be succeeded and expanded by Barry French, who takes on the position of Chief Corporate Affairs & Marketing Officer with immediate effect. French has more than three decades of experience across the telecommunications, defence and technology sectors, with prior roles at Inmarsat and Nokia. He will be based in Las Vegas.
Both Slaney and French will report directly to Aristocrat CEO and Managing Director Trevor Croker and will join the company’s Executive Steering Committee.
Croker expressed confidence in the appointments, highlighting their leadership track records and alignment with the group’s long-term strategy.
