As reported by The Philippine Star, Newport World Resorts is stepping up its efforts to solidify a long-term foothold in the Philippines’ online gaming landscape, as digital platforms outpace traditional casinos in revenue share.
Travellers International Hotel Group Inc., the developer behind Newport World Resorts and the gaming arm of Alliance Global Group Inc., said it has adopted a multi-pronged strategy for expanding its online offerings. The group’s president and CEO, Nilo Thaddeus Rodriguez, confirmed that additional digital platforms are under development to target both VIP and mass-market segments.
The company’s existing digital platform, Newport World Casino Online, offers members exclusive access to live casino games including blackjack, slots and roulette. Rodriguez explained that while the current offering is tailored to patrons within the group’s network, upcoming developments will cater more broadly to the growing general demand.

Rodriguez emphasised that while online play adds an important new channel, it does not replace the integrated resort experience. He said digital platforms provide additional touchpoints that support brand engagement and fuel broader sectoral growth.
To that end, Travellers continues to invest in its physical portfolio, with upcoming developments planned for Entertainment City, Cebu and Boracay. The flagship Newport World Resorts is also set to debut its first self-branded luxury property, Narra Palm Resort & Villas, later this year.
Despite these expansions, Rodriguez reaffirmed the company’s commitment to responsible gaming and full alignment with regulatory frameworks set by PAGCOR.
