ware providers Microgaming have launched a new Android mobile casino platform.
Android Air is an Adobe Air-based application compatible with tablets and smartphones running on Android. The starting package includes eight Microgaming casino games, with this number set to rise to at least 20 by the end of the year.
The application boasts updated banking and registration modules, while the connection now links directly with the gaming server, meaning Microgaming’s suite of acquisition and retention tools can now be utilised, including Balance, Player Grouping, Player Communication Manager and VPB, an online Virtual Pitboss.
Microgaming head of product channels Neill Whyte said: “The explosion of mobile gaming over the last 12 months represents a huge opportunity for providers. We feel our revolutionary new product will have a huge impact on the mobile market and gaming industry as a whole.
“Microgaming has the strongest portfolio of gaming assets in the industry, which we can leverage to fully exploit the opportunity that the rapid growth in Android based smartphones represents.”
