Kindred Group to enter NJ sports betting with Hard Rock

Kindred Group has signed a 5+5 year agreement with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in New Jersey.

The move means a first step into US gaming for Kindred (formerly Unibet Group), with a view to offering customers online sports betting services.

Hard Rock opened its Atlantic City casino in June 2018 and Kindred has stated its desire to work with the American operator to become a market leader in New Jersey.

SVP Online Gaming at Hard Rock International, Kresimir Spajic, said: “We are hopeful that Kindred’s international experience and commitment to innovation will translate to a significant success in New Jersey.”

SVP Kindred US, Manuel Stan, said: “This is a very exciting moment for Kindred as we have been working hard to take this first important step into what will most likely become the largest betting market in the world.”

Kindred is enjoying a time of expansion across the board, having recently applied for an operating licence in Sweden.

The operator also posted a 31% year-on-year increase in gross winnings revenue for Q2.
