Sportech confirms full sports betting launch in Connecticut

Within the next two weeks, sports betting is scheduled to go live across the supplier’s seven remaining venues.

This new announcement comes after the company had signed an agreement on 13 August 2021 with the Connecticut Lottery Company, to deliver sports betting in its Connecticut venues.

The deal from August saw Winners OTB and Bobby V’s become home for Connecticut’s sports betting. A wide range of betting options (including in-game, money lines, prop-bets) from the Connecticut Lottery became available to gamblers.

Sportech CEO Andrew Lindley said: “The demand for sports betting has been around for many years now and following a successful soft launch we are delighted to be offering it to our customers.

“This is a significant step forward for our Connecticut business and further strengthens our relationship with the State’s gaming arm, CLC; and with Rush Street Interactive who are a CLCs sportsbook provider.

“Customer interest in sports betting continues to grow significantly in the US, and we look forward to being a part of the story and to working with our partners and welcoming a new set of customers to our venues.”

Sportech, has been delivering solutions and services for gaming companies and lottery clients for almost 30 years. The company now owns and operates gaming venues and digital betting platforms in Connecticut under exclusive licences.

Sportech’s new leadership team will feature exclusively in the upcoming November/December issue of Gambling Insider magazine.
