Winlandia launches online casino platform in UK
Following its rebranding from FinlandiaCasino, the online brand is ready to launch into the British markets.
Winlandia, an emerging casino site from Finland, has launched its UK-facing website after its rebranding.
Initially launched as FinlandiaCasino in 2014, the brand recently underwent a complete transformation as part of its international expansion efforts.
The company decided to rebrand in August, changing the name slightly to Winlandia to remove the Finland-centric aspect.
On the rebranding, Christoffer Grönlund, Winlandia Head of Acquisitions & PR, said: “We are so excited to have rebranded to Winlandia and to take our amazing casino experience to more markets such as the UK, Sweden, Norway and Denmark in the first phase.
“In the second phase, we will enter Canada and New Zealand.”
As part of the UK launch, Winlandia based its welcome promotion on the year 1966, the year England last won the World Cup.
This is part of the localisation efforts that Grönlund explained in the rebranding announcement.
He emphasises that in order to successfully launch into different markets, each one must have a uniquely tailored approach from the company.
Grönlund continued: “Localisation, personalisation and conversion rate optimisation are also a must for each market.
“We have a very experienced team behind Winlandia with 15+ years in iGaming and we know exactly how to deliver this and so much more to players in each market.”
Winlandia has also partnered with a range of different game providers to curate its library, including Microgaming, NetEnt, Big Time Gaming, Red Tiger, Play’n GO, Slingo and Evolution Gaming.
