Taylor Swift-themed betting options introduced in Super Bowl bets by Oregon Lottery through DraftKings
Oregon Lottery offers Super Bowl bets, including Taylor Swift-themed options, to attract new players and capitalise on game's popularity.
As the Super Bowl approaches, the Oregon Lottery’s DraftKings Sportsbook has unveiled a selection of betting options for fans, including themed bets inspired by Taylor Swift songs.
For the upcoming Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, DraftKings Sportsbook has introduced a series of themed bets related to Taylor Swift’s music.
These bets include options such as ‘Shake It Off’, where participants can wager on which team will score first and ‘Wildest Dream’, which involves betting on specific player performances.
Kerry Hemphill, Oregon Lottery’s Sports Betting Products Manager, said: “The fanfare and celebrities at this event generate the most interest in sports betting we see all year, ’The ‘Taylor’ effect may also result in more casual sports betters taking a chance to have fun.”
In addition to themed bets, the Super Bowl offers various prop betting options, such as predicting the colour of the Gatorade dumped on the winning coach or guessing the game’s MVP.
During last year’s Super Bowl, Oregon players placed nearly 307,000 bets through DraftKings Sportsbook, with wagers totalling $5.3m. Notably, one player secured a significant win of over $21,000 by correctly predicting three consecutive league winners leading up to the Super Bowl.
Since its establishment in 1985, the Oregon Lottery has contributed nearly $15.5 billion to support these endeavours.
Last year in November, Oregon Lottery and DraftKings hosted a football watch party with former Seattle Seahawks player Cliff Avril. The watch party took place at The Independent Sports Bar & Grill and was on the Seattle Seahawks versus Dallas Cowboys matchup. Attendees had the opportunity to take part in prize-winning activities and receive bonus bets.
