Versus FC debuts in Sao Paulo, Brazil, supported by SCCG Management
A new MMA league, Versus FC, has debuted in Brazil with a focus on fan engagement.
São Paulo, Brazil, witnessed the inaugural event of Versus FC at the ‘Thunder Fight Center’.
The event, backed by SCCG Management, showcased mixed martial arts (MMA) action and included the Pillow Fight Championship (PFC).
Versus FC seeks to transform the spectator experience by giving fans and communities a more direct role in shaping the sport.
Tom Huggins, Versus FC CEO, assembled a team of global field professionals to executive every match in the MMA cage and the pillow fighting ring.
In September 2023, SCCG Management and Versus FC entered a partnership to advance the MMA business model and focus on expanding into the Brazilian market.
In light of the partnership, Huggins said: “ We are pleased to join forces with SCCG, a worldwide leader in our industry. This partnership with a key player in the sports sector allows us to concentrate on our core competencies while extending our efforts and capabilities to better realise our shared vision of enhancing and evolving fan engagement for sports enthusiasts worldwide, in line with market demands.”
