Gordon Moody was recently awarded the “Finance Team of the Year (Not for Profit)” at the Midlands Finance Awards 2024, which took place on 24 October at the ICC in Birmingham.

This annual event, established in 2016, celebrates the achievements of finance professionals and organisations within the Midlands, recognising those that make significant contributions to the region’s economy and community.

The 2024 Finance Team of the Year category for not-for-profits showcased organisations excelling in financial management and support.

Gordon Moody was shortlisted alongside a selection of other companies, including Peterborough Diocese Education Trust, Your City and Metropolitan Hospitals Charity, and the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board.

Commenting on the achievement, Herdman, Finance Director at Gordon Moody, stated: “I know that all the support functions at Gordon Moody are passionate about what we do as an organisation and its impact on people’s lives.

“The Finance Team is a shining example of that passion and commitment, and I am delighted that it was recognised last night at the Midlands Finance Awards.

“I am incredibly proud of the team and everything that Gordon Moody does to help people reclaim and rebuild their lives free from gambling-related harms.”

This news comes after Gordon Moody announced that it is set to open a new flagship treatment centre in Redditch earlier this week.

The facility, scheduled to open on 25 November 2024, will offer treatment programmes that combine therapy with holistic approaches – expanding the organisation’s capacity to support individuals struggling with severe gambling-related harms.
