Codere Online appoints A.G. Burnett as Chairman of the Compliance Committee

Key points:

– Codere Online has released the results of its annual general meeting

–  A.G. Burnett was appointed as Chairman of the Compliance Committee

– He comes to the role with experience including five years as Chairman and Executive Director of the Nevada Gaming Control Board

As part of the meeting, A.G. Burnett was appointed as Chairman of the Compliance Committee; a role he will officially take on from 1 July. Burnett comes to the role with over 20 years of experience, having held legal and regulatory positions including Chairman and Executive Director of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) – a role he held for five years. He also served as a Board Member and Deputy Chief of the NGCB’s Corporate Securities Division, as well as a legal representative for the Commission.

Alongside this, Burnett holds several roles with industry legal and educational bodies, including the International Masters of Gaming Law and the UNLV’s Boyd School of Law Gaming Law Advisory Board. Burnett currently holds a Partner position with McDonald Carano, with a focus on gaming regulation and compliance. He will succeed Mark Dunn as Chairman of the Compliance Committee, who Codere Online thanked for his services.

Rafael Catalá and Yaiza Rodríguez will continue to serve on the committee.

Good to know: Greentube partnered with Codere Online in Spain in March, bringing a range of titles from Greentube’s catalogue, including Lucky Lady’s Charm deluxe, Book of Ra and Sizzling Hot deluxe to the market.

The AGM announcement follows news earlier this month that Codere Online had regained Nasdaq compliance following its annual report.

The business faced non-compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1) as it had filed the result late to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, though it is now confirmed that securities may continue to be traded on the Nasdaq Capital Market.
