Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz has renewed its exclusive partnership with EPG Baskets Koblenz for the 2025/26 season, continuing a collaboration that began in 2020.
The German state lottery operator will maintain its sponsorship role as the basketball club competes in the Barmer 2nd Basketball Bundesliga ProA division.
The partnership has evolved alongside the club’s progression, initially supporting EPG Baskets in the ProB division before continuing into their current ProA status achieved in 2023.
Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz maintains visibility through jersey chest positioning, LED advertising boards and arena floor branding at the EPG Arena.
Commenting on the partnership extension, Jürgen Häfner, Managing Director of Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz, stated: “The partnership between Lotto Rhineland-Palatinate and the EPG Baskets Koblenz is a perfect fit.
“As a company where sports, alongside the state, are firmly anchored in the shareholder structure, we are happy to be partners with 160 sports clubs in Rhineland-Palatinate and intensively promote our company and its image as a solid pillar of the common good.
“The EPG Baskets have experienced impressive development in recent years – driven by great team spirit, passion and solidarity. With their successful second-division team and their strong commitment to the region, they are a strong example of team spirit and development for us.”
Thomas Klein, Director of Sports & Marketing at EPG Baskets Koblenz, also commented on the development, noting that Lotto’s involvement has increased significantly since the team’s ‘Mission 15-20’ initiative in 2013, demonstrating growing confidence in the basketball club’s development trajectory.
