Brightstar to showcase lottery portfolio at EL Congress in Bern
First major trade appearance since IGT’s lottery division rebranded as Brightstar Lottery.
Key points:
– Brightstar Lottery will present its portfolio at the 12th EL Congress in Switzerland
– Event marks the company’s first trade showcase since separating from IGT’s Gaming and Digital business
– Highlights include LotteryLink and new instant and iLottery innovations
Brightstar Lottery will demonstrate its lottery solutions at the European Lotteries (EL) Congress in Bern, Switzerland, from 14-17 September.
The event marks the company’s first major trade showcase since its rebrand to Brightstar, following the spin-off of International Game Technology’s (IGT) Gaming and Digital business earlier this year.
Renato Ascoli, CEO Global Lottery, said: “The EL Congress provides a compelling opportunity for Brightstar to introduce our new brand to our partners in Europe and reinforce our commitment to being a pure-play lottery business, focused on propelling the industry forward.”
Among the products on display will be LotteryLink, a small-format retail solution allowing instant and draw-game sales directly at checkout without requiring a dedicated terminal.
Brightstar will also feature digital menu boards designed to modernise instant ticket presentation in-store, as well as a series of instants innovations, including high-resolution imagery, registered holographic motion features, Infinity Instants gameplay and new playstyles.
Good to know: Brightstar began trading under its new name in July 2025 after IGT sold its Gaming and Digital operations to Apollo-owned Voyager Parent, which later merged the assets with Everi
The move mirrored Scientific Games’ earlier split between lottery and gaming, positioning Brightstar as a stand-alone lottery-focused company.
The company will further highlight its growing iLottery portfolio, which now includes 250 games and the new Prize Tap eInstant category, supported by applications and marketing services.
Ascoli will also moderate a panel discussion titled “Elevating Lotteries and Inspiring Players” on 15 September as part of the EL Congress speaking program.
Brightstar currently provides lottery technology and services to nearly 90 customers worldwide, including 26 of the 46 US jurisdictions and eight of the world’s 10 largest lotteries.
The company also recently secured a supplier licence in the UAE to support local lottery operations.
