Key points:
- IGT has been added to the growing list of suppliers that have been granted gaming vendor licences in the UAE
- The company has been added to the list of gaming vendor suppliers on the GCGRA website
- IGT’s certification follows recent similar licence announcements from Aristocrat and Novomatic
International Game Technologies (IGT) has been added to the growing list of GCGRA-certified gaming vendor supplier licencees in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market.
This latest announcement comes without a formal notification, as the company has now appeared as a licensed entity on the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority’s (GCGRA) website.
The UAE’s burgeoning gambling market is still very much in its fledgling stage, with initial movement beginning in 2022 when Wynn Resorts announced plans for its $2bn Al Marjan Island project in the nation – for which it has just received $2.4bn in funding.
More recently, the nation has just launched its first ever regulated lottery in The Game LLC – with the first-ever draw taking place in December 2024. Indeed, Q4 of last year saw a flurry of activity in the nation’s gambling landscape, with Aristocrat Interactive obtaining the inaugural UAE licence to supply gaming vendor products from the GCGRA.
Last month, the company was joined by Novomatic, who secured the same licence. Now, IGT has joined the pair in the nation’s marketplace.

Following on from last year’s burst of gambling movement in the nation, recent weeks have seen additional updates such as the certification of BMM Testlabs for the testing and certification of gambling products in the nation.
Further, last week, the GCGRA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).
