Revenue slightly down, although operator's earnings before special items increase.

Bet-at-home H1 revenue falls marginally to €25.3m

Key points:

– Gross betting and gaming revenue for H1 2025 was €25.3m ($29.6m), marginally below H1 2024

– EBITDA before special items rose to €3m, compared with €1.2m in the prior-year period

Operator bet-at-home.com has released its interim financial report for the six months ended 30 June 2025.

Gross betting and gaming revenue amounted to €25.3m, compared with €25.4m in the first half of 2024, representing a 0.39% decrease. The company noted that the absence of a major sporting event during the reporting period reduced seasonal revenue potential. Online casino activity increased compared to the previous year.

Net gaming revenue after betting fees, gambling levies and VAT was €19.7m, down 2.5% from the prior year. Betting and gambling levies totalled €5.5m.

EBITDA before special items improved to €3m, against €1.2m in the same period of 2024. The 150% increase was primarily attributed to reduced marketing expenditure, as no European Championship took place in 2025. Earnings before taxes reached €2m, almost double that recorded in H1 2024.

Cash and cash equivalents stood at €29.3m as of 30 June 2025, compared with €34.9m at year-end 2024. The decline reflects negative net cash flows of €0.5m during the first half, largely from operating activities.

Good to know: The company holds licences for online sports betting and gaming across several European jurisdictions

The company’s outlook for the 2025 financial year remains unchanged. Management continues to expect gross betting and gaming revenue between €46m and €54m and EBITDA before special items between €0 and €4m.

In May 2022, bet-at-home reported a revenue drop of over 50% for Q1 2022, recording €14m in gross betting and gaming revenue, down from last year’s total of €30m. The company’s consolidated profit for Q1 2021 stood at €4.4m, falling to a loss of €2.7m as of 31 March 2022.
