European online audiences can now access the game via NYX’s Open Gaming System. The 4×5 reel slot, which features 1024 different ways to win, features reels with skull and crossbones, cannons and the game’s titular heroes.

All the symbols pay left-to-right, while the scatter symbol triggers the game’s unique “Hold-n-Spin” bonus round. The Hold-n-Spin bonus is activated when two to four scatter symbols appear left to right, it covers each reel where the symbol appears with an ancient scroll, re-spinning the uncovered reels up to three times to uncover more scatter symbols.

If all the reels are covered the player will enter the Five Pirates Bonus Round and be able to choose from one of five bonuses. This lets them try for up to 15 free games, or a big multiplier up to 15x stake.

In a statement, Peter Causley, Managing Director at Lightning Box, said: “We are thrilled to release Five Pirates, a proven game that transports players across the Caribbean and into the golden age of piracy.“

“We’re very confident that landlubbers and seadogs alike will enjoy exploring the game’s richly detailed and immersive setting and its unique feature section.”

Five Pirates joins Lightning Box’s portfolio of slot titles, including recent releases Stellar Serengeti Lions and Red Roo.
