2024 was big year for Digitain. What do you think the company’s biggest achievement was this year, alongside your key areas for improvement next year?
Our company’s success is a direct result of our unwavering commitment to our corporate brand values and our mission to prioritise our partners in every interaction with our brand. This year, we made good progress by expanding into new markets and securing licences to provide products in the UK, Greece, Malta, Romania, Sweden, Brazil and Peru.

After receiving approval from the Gambling Commission in the UK in September, how do you reflect on your initial few months in the market?
The UK represents one of the gold standards in our industry, gaining approval from the Gambling Commission was a significant milestone for me as the founder and for our entire team. With our London office now established, we’ve seen tremendous momentum begin to build over the last quarter. Looking ahead to 2025, we anticipate sustainable growth as we focus on onboarding high-value partners. An integral part of our entry into the UK market has been our commitment to responsible gaming. As part of the UK gambling standards, we have implemented safeguards to promote player protection. We always look to ensure our compliance, player welfare and ethical gaming practices align with the industry’s high standards, reflecting our long-term vision of fostering a safe and trustworthy environment.
LatAm has been a key region for Digitain this year. How do you believe these markets will evolve and what do you hope your role will be in that evolution?
LatAm is a significant market with immense potential, driven by its diverse economies, growing digital infrastructure and increasing regulatory advancements. As the region continues to transition toward more structured and regulated frameworks, it presents very exciting opportunities for sustainable growth and innovation. LatAm remains a pivotal g growth market for Digitain, as it is somewhere we have established strong partnerships with multiple operators. We have designed localised products and solutions specifically tailored to the LatAm market, backed by a well-established and dedicated local team in the region. To further enhance our presence, we are also actively working on establishing a LatAm hub office in 2025. We have successfully secured licences for Brazil and Peru and are actively working on obtaining additional licenses to fully cover and serve the entire LatAm market, ensuring comprehensive compliance and support across the region.
Player protection has become an increasingly important part of the industry. How do you feel Digitainhas progressed in this area in 2024 – and how do you hope to push forward in 2025?
Player protection is a cornerstone of the industry, deeply embedded in political, regulatory and ethical frameworks, especially in free-market economies. At Digitain, we recognise its critical importance and have made significant strides in this area throughout 2024. Our solutions are designed to ensure full compliance with diverse regulatory standards and can be customised to meet specific local regulatory requirements, recognising that each jurisdiction has its own unique regulations. Leveraging advanced technology, we have enhanced our ability to analyse player data, enabling trained specialists to identify patterns and behaviors that may indicate gambling-related issues.
These insights support targeted intervention programs, reinforcing our commitment to responsible gambling. The integration of AI, machine learning and behavioral profiling has gone a long way in helping to strengthen our ability to meet evolving player protection standards. These technologies allow us to proactively address risks and support operators in fostering a safer gambling environment. Looking ahead to 2025, Digitain will continue to prioritise investments in cutting-edge technology and rigorous training programs. By doing so, we aim to further enhance our player protection protocols and workflows, reaffirming our dedication to responsible gambling.
It has been a long journey for you with Digitain. How have things changed for you in the past 10 years following some rapid expansion – both personally and professionally?
The past decade has been transformative, both for me and for the Digitain Group. What began as a small team has grown into a community of nearly 4,000 individuals, a reflection of the dedication, vision, and passion that drives our work. Over the last 4-5 years, we have seen the formation of the Digitain Group of companies, which is the culmination of years of hard work and strategic planning. Imagine Live, for instance, has emerged as a unique brand specialising in live casino solutions. Galaxsys, a fast-growing company, is making waves with its portfolio of fast games and the addition of slots. Relum, our aggregator and SportGenerate also reflect this commitment to innovation and market adaptability. Digitain has been more than a business for me; it represents a significant part of my life. The recent achievements of Noah FC, a football club close to my heart, are another personal milestone. The club not only exemplifies our success but also embodies a vision for developing football in Armenia, fostering talent and building a stronger sporting future for the country. As I reflect on this journey, I see a story of growth, perseverance, and innovation.
We have built not just companies but communities, all underpinned by a shared commitment to excellence and a relentless drive to shape the future of our industry. As someone who has been a member of the industry since the late 1990s, what new technologies and innovations do you personally find the most exciting right now? Technology constantly improves our understanding of the customer’s journey and how we can improve that experience. Advancements in AI and Machine Learning are revolutionising the way we analyse vast amounts of customer interaction data points. This efficient and effective analysis is paving the way for a more insightful understanding of our customers. We can already see the positive impact of AI in our everyday lives, and Digitain was one of the early advocates of this transformative technology. The future holds even more promise. We can expect further advancements in technology, whether it’s to automate existing workflows or to streamline repetitive and manual processes. This will free up more time for critical thinking, enabling us to focus on enhancing the customer experience and addressing other areas of friction. It is, therefore, essential to assess holistically the impact of any new technology operationally and how it affects people.
