After a rigorous voting process, including a self-nomination window and input from our Nominations Panel and the Gambling Insider team, our 100-strong panel of esteemed judges voted to crown this year’s winners.

Votes were made online by leading CEOs and executives from across the industry, before being adjudicated by KPMG.

Below, we break down 2020’s winners, while a full list of the top 3s in every category can be found at the end of this article.

For the first time ever at the GGAs, Aristocrat won in as many as three different categories. Sponsored by Global Payments, the Land-based Industry Supplier of the Year Award was Aristocrat’s first success.

Land-based Product of the Year, sponsored by 1xBet, was also taken by Aristocrat with its MarsXCabinet, before the triple was completed in the Slot of the Year Award, sponsored by FABICash, as Aristocrat’s Dollar Storm slot proved triumphant.

Another big winner this year was Scientific Games, claiming two Awards at this year’s ceremony. The supplier firstly won Digital Product of the Year, sponsored by Synergy Blue, and then Product Innovation of the Year – sponsored by Newgioco Group.

The final company to win more than one Award was Seminole Gaming. Following its acquisition of Hard Rock International, Seminole won two Awards, being victorious in the Land-based Operator of the year Award, sponsored by IGT, and the Property of the Year Award, sponsored by Scientific Games, with Hard Rock’s fabulous Guitar Hotel in Florida.

Next up, Rush Street Interactive won its first-ever Global Gaming Award, triumphing in the Digital Operator of the Year category, sponsored by Connective Games.

In our next category, MGM Resorts International built on its rich history in the Customer Loyalty Program of the Year Award, sponsored by Interblock. Indeed, out of seven Global Gaming Awards ceremonies, MGM Resorts’ M Life has now won six times in this category.

In the Digital Industry Supplier of the Year category, sponsored by Aristocrat, Evolution was welcomed into the winners’ circle once again, having won Product Innovation of the Year in 2018 and Digital Product of the Year in 2017.

In the Responsible Business of the Year category, sponsored by CasinoTrac, GeoComply secured its third victory in five years.

Finally, sponsored by Continent 8 Technologies, the American Executive of the Year Award boasted another star-studded field this year and was won by Jason Robins, DraftKings CEO.

For a full breakdown of the original nominees, you can see our GGA Shortlist magazine, which is available on GamblingInsider.com – let’s not forget that nomination alone is an achievement worthy of distinction.
