In his newly reclaimed role, he will use his expertise to develop the company’s iGaming offering and drive growth. He will also be responsible for launching Salsa’s proprietary sports betting platform, Salsa Sportsbook, which is specially tailored for Brazil’s upcoming regulated market.
Mourglia had initially joined the company at the beginning of 2014 as a Development Manager, and in 2017 he was promoted to the CTO position, which he served until the end of 2020 when the launch of an entrepreneurial tech project within LatAm had him leave.
Mourglia commented: “Salsa is a very interesting and rewarding project for me and I’m very happy to take back the reins of the brilliant tech team as we grow the business. We will be concentrating on enhancing the product and preparing for the regulations in Brazil, which I believe is an excellent opportunity for the entire sector".
