Player protection software companies Mindway AI and AnonyMind have joined forces to aid problem gamblers.
Through this collaboration, the aim is for at-risk players and gambling addiction to be identified and addressed as part of a new integrated strategy.
Software from Mindway AI uses assessments from human psychologists and machine learning algorithms to recognise risky gaming activity.
Further, Mindway AI has reached over 6.5 million active players each month in over 21 countries.
Meanwhile, AnonyMind offers evidence-based and private psychological therapies for those with gambling addiction. Clinical psychologists who are governed and accredited to practice in this field provide their therapies, making use of proven methods such as intensive cognitive behavioural therapy, 3rd Wave CBT models, DBT-informed approaches and EMDR.
The organisation pairs people with the appropriate therapist, who will customise the treatment using a ‘clinical formulation’ to address the client's needs.
Rasmus Kjaergaard, CEO of Mindway AI, said: "At Mindway AI, we are committed to using our technology to help operators promote responsible gambling and prevent addiction. We are thrilled to partner with AnonyMind, who share our commitment to addressing this important issue."
Meanwhile, Andrew Plummer, Head of Partnerships at AnonyMind, added: "This partnership sees the integration of Mindway’s AI technologies with the AnonyMind CarePlus service to proactively identify problem gambling within an operators’ network.
"We look forward to this collaboration and the important insights that can be gained through early identification and intervention."
