IGT and Scientific Games consortium awarded 20-year lottery contract in Brazil

IGT Global Solutions and Scientific Games have formed a consortium with Saga Consultoria e Representações Comerciais e Empresariais (Saga) and with the Minas Gerais State Lottery (LEMG). The consortium has been granted a 20-year agreement to provide lottery operations in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

IGT Global Solutions is a subsidiary of International Game Technology. Alongside forming a consortium, IGT Global Solutions, Scientific Games and Saga have executed a concession agreement with the LEMG to operate an instant and passive lottery in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Currently, only Keno and lottery games are offered in Minas Gerais as a legalised form of gambling. Terms of the 20-year agreement provide the group with an exclusive licence for lottery operations in the state which includes: instant games, passive lottery games, a supporting instant ticket system, with an option to renew the agreement after 20 years.

The contract is effective 9 June 2023 and the consortium is expecting to launch instant games by the end of 2023.
