Hard Rock International has announced a collaborative plan with Mercan Properties to open a new property in Portugal, Hard Rock Hotel Algarve.
The plans have initially stated Praia do Vau, Portimão as the venue for the Hard Rock property, an area in Southern Portugal made famous by its beaches.
Construction is set to begin in early 2024 and will consist of 275 rooms and suits, with an additional 150 branded serviced apartments.
Hard Rock International and Mercan Properties, part of the Mercan Group, anticipate the property to open in mid-2026.
Todd Hricko, Senior VP and Head of Global Hotel Development for Hard Rock International, said: "We're delighted to expand Hard Rock Hotel's unparalleled offerings to the beautiful country of Portugal in 2026.”
"This new development will further extend the enhanced entertainment experience our guests know and love to yet another part of the world, while incorporating the country's amazing culture."
Alongside the rooms, Hard Rock Hotel Algarve will also host the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club™, several restaurants and bars, three exterior pools, a spa, gym, sports area and beach club.

This isn't the only Hard Rock Hotel that's been announced, as the first-ever Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was confirmed for Canada last month.
