Operator LeoVegas Group has recently been granted a gaming licence for five years within the Netherlands. The licence is for casino, live casino and sports betting.

The company has plans to go live in the Dutch market within the second half of 2023, although it is not live just yet despite receving licence.

LeoVegas group is growing and has a hub in Malta and headquarters in Stockholm and 1,200+ European employees.

The company has recently signed a sponsorship deal with Blackpool FC and features its logo on the team's football jersey.

Gustaf Hagman, CEO of LeoVegas Group, stated: “LeoVegas Group has been granted a gaming license in the rapidly growing Dutch market!

“We are thrilled to look to the future and fully focus on resuming our Dutch journey: the Netherlands has great potential and we look forward to it becoming an important market in our global growth journey."

Last week, Gambling Insider spoke to Joerg Hofmann and Rene Jansen, Chairman of the Dutch regulator, about the rules and regulations in the Netherlands on the GI Huddle.
