Prairie Band Casino & Resort, Kambi to launch Kansas’ first tribal sportsbook

Situated in close proximity to Topeka, Kansas, Prairie Band Casino & Resort received approval earlier this year to establish an on-site sportsbook within the casino premises on tribal land.

This partnership, spanning multiple years, will witness the collaborative efforts of Kambi and Prairie Band Casino & Resort in launching the pioneering tribal sportsbook in the state.

The companies say it will enhance the offerings of the casino, which spans approximately 35,000 sqft, featuring 10 kiosks and four bar top terminals equipped with the latest sports betting technology.

Kristian Nylén, CEO and Co-Founder of Kambi, emphasised the company’s commitment to supporting tribal sports betting initiatives.

“Their [Prairie Band Casino & Resort] successful and long-standing reputation in Kansas, combined with our award-winning sports betting technology, will create a one-of-a-kind experience for their current customers while also attracting a whole new demographic,” he adds.

Furthermore, Chris Garrow, Director of Gaming for Prairie Band Casino & Resort, notes the positive feedback and inquiries from casino guests, following the legalisation of sports betting in Kansas last year.

“Now, we finally will be able to answer those questions with certainty. We are excited to launch our retail sportsbook as another amenity for our guests to ‘play your way’. This will be the first true locals’ sportsbook in Kansas,” he says.
