The launch of the Playzido platform in Michigan is the latest chapter in Light & Wonder's projects and partnerships.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) recently awarded a B2B supplier license to Playzido last year.
Dana Jackel, Head of US Commercial at Light & Wonder iGaming expressed her enthusiasm for this development, stating: “The introduction of Playzido in Michigan is a pivotal milestone for us in terms of creating and delivering player-focused content.
"Playzido's platform is highly regarded in the industry and has already achieved significant success in Europe. We are excited to leverage Playzido's technology to offer innovative studios and games to our operator partners and Michigan players.”
This new project arrives after Light & Wonder's partnership with the Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort. This venture introduced Light & Wonder's systems, including slots and electronic table games to Northeast Asia.
Meanwhile, in May 2023, Light & Wonder partnered with Swiss Grand Casino Luzern. Through OpenGaming, Light & Wonder enabled Grand Casino Luzern's online brand, MyCasino, to access its titles, such as 88 Fortunes, Raging Rhino and Spartacus.
Light & Wonder also secured a partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment. This expanded multi-year global licensing collaboration gives players access to titles like Willy Wonka: World of Wonka.
In the financial realm, Light & Wonder has reported its Q2 2023 results, with a 20% growth in consolidated revenue year-on-year, amounting to $731m.
