This expansion, facilitated through a partnership with Full House Resorts, introduces Circa Sports Illinois to the state, available both through a mobile betting app and a brick-and-mortar sportsbook within the newly established American Place in Waukegan.
Circa Sports, founded in 2019 by Derek Stevens, has been expanding its footprint in the US. The company operates in multiple states, including Nevada, Colorado, Iowa and its sportsbook at the Circa Resort & Casino in Southern Nevada.
In the past, Circa Resort & Casino, in partnership with FullTime Fantasy Sports, introduced the Circa-branded Fantasy Football World Championships and Las Vegas Fantasy Championships.
Circa Sports has hosted pro football contests, such as Circa Million IV and Circa Survivor, which returned to Las Vegas in August with a $12m prize pool.
Additionally, Circa Resort & Casino recently integrated Amazon's Alexa Smart Properties (ASP) into its rooms, providing voice-activated access to various services, including check-out times and food orders.
Full House Resorts reported its financial performance in its recent fiscal year 2023, with the company attributing its success to the opening of The Temporary, a gaming destination featuring 1,000 slot machines, 50 table games and dining options.
The launch of Circa Sports in Illinois provides residents the opportunity to engage in mobile betting and access a physical sportsbook at the American Place Casino in Waukegan.
To commemorate this launch, Chicago football legend Brian Urlacher will join the Circa Sports team on October 4. The event will include meet-and-greets with Urlacher, along with his placement of a sports bet.
