International Game Technology (IGT) has extended its contract with Pan Malaysian Pools (PMP) through its subsidiaries, IGT Global Services Limited and IGT Global Solutions Corporation.

The 10-year extension between the long-standing partners will introduce new technology as part of an effort to modernise the Malaysian lottery.

IGT will supply PMP with its central lottery system, Aurora, which will help manage the operations' business side.

Part of the omnichannel solution, Omnia, Aurora will be integrated into the pre-existing proprietary dmcGO iLottrey system.

Tan Kong Han, PMP Managing Director, said: "Over the last 12 years, IGT has demonstrated its forward-looking lottery expertise by helping PMP introduce innovative and responsible, growth-driving lottery solutions into the market.

"IGT's sophisticated Aurora central system and advanced features, as well as its integration with our dmcGO platform, will help PMP provide our players with engaging and convenient lottery experiences over the next decade."

PMP will be able to utilise the suite of tools developed for Aurora, such as its administration portal application management hub and its Terminal Access Gateway.

Jay Gendron, IGT's COO of Global Lottery, said: "This contract extension marks an exciting new chapter for PMP and IGT as we continue working together to modernise lottery offerings throughout Malaysia.

"Our world-class Aurora system and special features will provide valuable insights to PMP, helping grow their business and maximise funds for The Community Chest, a charitable trust funded by PMP that focuses on providing financial assistance to educational institutions in Malaysia."
