The Metropolitan Casino in Mayfair, London, celebrated its one-year anniversary on Thursday 30 November with an exclusive in-house party.

The invitation-only event, which Gambling Insider was at, saw industry names rubbing shoulders with reality TV stars and musicians as they took to the casino floor and lounge, with special guest Kimberly Wyatt formally of The Pussycat Dolls taking to the DJ booth alongside resident DJs.

Attendees were able to sample a variety of canapes alongside complimentary drinks, including a specialty cocktail for the evening titled ‘The Crystal Cocktail.’ The drink consisted in part of champagne and edible glitter, reflecting the glamour of the evening.

The casino’s varying slot machines and table games were on display throughout the evening. Roulette, blackjack and punto banco tables for players of all staking levels were available, while slot games were available both indoors and outdoors on the casino's gaming terrace. The terrace also offered attendees a space to acquire free cigars from an attending vendor.

Slot games included products from Novomatic, IGT and other suppliers.

The event was one of several occurring this week as part of the anniversary celebration. Until Sunday 3 December Metropolitan Casino is hosting Spintacular, where between 8pm and midnight guests can acquire a spin token from Reception and spin a prize wheel for the opportunity to win daily prizes.

There is also set to be a prosecco and jazz evening on Saturday 2 December, where guests can enjoy music alongside complimentary prosecco.

The event will be rounded out on Sunday 3 December with a Prize Draw Evening where four winners will be able to take home £500 ($634) worth of prizes. There will also be various entertainment throughout the evening.

Metropolitan Gaming CEO Michael Silberling certainly has a lot to celebrate, then, and he will feature in our upcoming CEO Special – part of the January/February issue of Gambling Insider magazine.
