BetVictor offering unique market again after penning a data deal

BetV

ictor has launched a man of the match (MOTM) market on Premier League games after agreeing an exclusive partnership with data provider WhoScored.com.

The MOTM market will be decided by data and not by opinion, with the result being established and made available to players within 10 minutes of the end of matches.

BetVictor plans to roll the product out to other football leagues around the world at a later stage.

This is a market that BetVictor has brought back to its offering after going without it for a number of seasons.

Chris Edwards, BetVictor Head of Automated Trading, said: “There is a strong appetite among our customers for a man of the match market that is objective and consistent, rather than one that relies on subjective pundit opinion and is often overlooked by the host broadcaster. The MOTM market was only previously available on televised games in the EPL but we already expanded that to all EPL games over the first weekend. We remain committed to giving the football bettor the very best value; Simple As.”

The data involved includes complex data for players that WhoScored.com displays on its site and includes the number of tackles and interceptions made by a defender, for example, in line with the types of data that goes into DraftKings and FanDuel’s fantasy sports scoring systems.
