Northern European poker festival The Kings of Tallinn is gearing up for its 10th annual event, scheduled to run from 23 February to 3 March 2024.
Hosted at the Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel in Estonia's capital, the festival is set to feature over 50 tournaments, including the Main Event, with a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000 ($539,258).
Last year's festival boasted a total prize pool nearing €2.2m, with the main tournament alone reaching €673,400. Past winners, including Priit Parmasto and Adam Kharman, have secured cash prizes.
The upcoming Main Event, slated from 1 to 5 March and requiring a €1,100 buy-in, aims to surpass previous benchmarks.
Christer Larsson, OlyBet Group Poker Director, noted: "The guaranteed prize pool is half a million euros, but we're not just aiming to meet expectations – we're on a mission to break our own record once again."
Apart from the Main Event, the festival plans to host various tournaments, including the Queens of Tallinn Special, a women-only tournament, the Estonian Independence Day tournament and a celebrity event.
Additionally, OlyBet recently signed a deal with the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and GGPoker to enter Tallinn. The WSOP Circuit event, scheduled for this autumn, featuring a €1m guaranteed main event, marks the WSOP's inaugural appearance in Northern Europe.
