Headquartered in London, IMG Arena serves as a sports data and technology hub within the sports, sports betting and sports media ecosystems.
The company provides live streaming and data feeds for over 65,000 sports events annually, including on-demand virtual sports products and front-end solutions like the UFC Event Centre.
The company’s client roster also includes prominent entities such as MLS, PGA Tour, DP World Tour, USTA, EuroLeague, Roland Garros and the NWSL.
Today, the company announced it has chosen to partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its strategic cloud provider. By leveraging AWS's cloud computing and management tools, IMG Arena aims to introduce new products that enhance live streaming, data collection and fan engagement offerings for its partners.
The decision to partner with AWS comes on the heels of IMG Arena’s recent business expansions, including the acquisition of Leap Gaming and a sizeable investment in Signality – a Swedish computer vision specialist.
Max Wright, CCO at IMG Arena, commented: “IMG Arena has been a pioneer in the official sports data and technology space since we launched in 2012. Selecting AWS as our strategic cloud provider cements our commitment to delivering the most innovative data-driven products in the market.”
This partnership comes off the back of another collaborative effort last year that saw AWS teaming up with FanDuel to offer the company a range of solutions for its sports betting services.
