Fantasy sports gaming company GameOn has announced that its fantasy app, GameOn Live Fantasy, is set to launch ahead of the start of the UEFA European Football Championship 2024 (Euro 2024) on 14 June.

Initially, GameOn Live Fantasy will launch in a beta format in order for the company to gather feedback on the product and refine it, before launching it fully.

Included will be a prize pool worth over $200,000, which will include $GAME tokens, VIP experiences, signed merchandise and game tickets.

The app is being powered by the $GAME token and those who are holders of the token will be able to receive a reward multiplier based on their $GAME ownership tier, as well as enter monthly raffles on GameOn’s X (formerly Twitter) and Discord.

Once the beta period comes to an end, GameOn Live Fantasy is set to have its full launch in August for the upcoming 2024/25 LALIGA season, which will include player avatar packs.

GameOn CEO Matt Bailey said: "GameOn Live Fantasy will change the way we play, headlined by true asset ownership, unified rewards and interoperability between leagues.

"Powered by $GAME, GameOn is built on Web3 in a context fans are familiar with. We're leveling up fantasy sports while onboarding the masses to blockchain."

In other fantasy news this week, Abios entered into a partnership with Brazilian daily fantasy sports operator Rei do Pitaco (RDP) to enhance RDP’s fantasy esoccer offerings.
