Newcastle United and LeoVegas Group have agreed to a new deal to extend the Premier League side’s partnership with BetMGM.

Shortly after BetMGM UK launch in September, which was fronted by Chris Rock, the sports betting brand was named as the Official Club Partner of the Magpies for the 2023/24 season, with this deal now set to be extended.

Within the first year of this collaboration, BetMGM, which has its UK head office in Newcastle upon Tyne, has seen its branding made visible on St James’ Park’s LED boards, big screens and static advertising spaces.

The operator was also able to create exclusive content and experiences with Newcastle’s first-team players and it is set to introduce more initiatives for fans going forward.

Newcastle United CCO Peter Silverstone said: “Newcastle United and BetMGM have had an exceptional first year together.

“We have helped BetMGM to drive brand awareness and engagement in key markets, supporting its aim to create the world’s greatest iGaming experience.

“This new agreement is testament to how effective the club’s profile and support have been to BetMGM, and we are delighted to enhance our support of one another on the next step of our exciting journeys.”

BetMGM UK Director Sam Behar added: “Our BetMGM partnership with Newcastle United has been a success and we are delighted to continue building on this fruitful collaboration.

“The club is incredibly ambitious and their drive perfectly aligns with our Group’s core values. I can’t wait to get this season started and see Newcastle United continue on their journey.”

This follows on from BetMGM this week also securing a new partnership with fellow Premier League side Wolves, with the LeoVegas brand becoming the club’s official European betting partner for the next two seasons.

Also this week, LeoVegas acquired Tipico, with the operator now able to manage the proprietary sportsbook in all territories not exclusive to LeoVegas' parent company, MGM Resorts International.
