Sportradar has secured the first presentation slot at the upcoming Regulating the Game 2025 conference in Sydney, where it will discuss ‘Effective Regulation Through Innovative Technological Solutions’.
The Regulating the Game conference has opened applications for its Pitch! segment, aimed at showcasing new products, approaches and research focused on enhancing regulatory practices in the gambling industry.
Pitch! is a feature of the conference, offering a platform for presentations on topics that include: RegTech, product compliance, risk management, regulatory policy and practice, industry supervision, standards, blockchain and digital assets, cyber crime, safer gambling, financial crime, money laundering, compliance, ESG, investigative practices, audit and assurance and artificial intelligence.
Selected participants will have a 10-minute slot for their presentations, which will include time for questions.
The event will also highlight initiatives promoting ethical leadership, safer gambling and defences against financial crimes and money laundering. Norths Collective, the event's organiser, aims to combine networking, hospitality and entertainment with the presentations.
Sportradar reported a 28% increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2024, totalling €265.9m ($288.5m). Despite this growth, the company posted a loss of €0.6m, which it attributed to foreign currency losses, increased finance costs and higher depreciation and amortisation.
Betting technology and solutions accounted for €218.8m of the revenue, while sports content, technology and services made up the remaining €47.1m.
In the first quarter of 2024, Sportradar expanded its partnerships with the Asian Football Confederation, Kwiff and Bundesliga International. The company launched a new product, FanID and appointed new executives, including CTO and CAIO Behshad Behzadi and CFO Craig Felenstein.
Additionally, Sportradar secured a supplier licence in North Carolina following the legalisation of sports betting in the state.
