Key points:
- GLI independently tests, certifies and provides professional services to the gaming industry
- Gaining a ‘Gaming Labs Certified’ mark means a provider has conformed with GLI standards
DS Virtual Gaming has received certification from Gaming Labs International (GLI) for Ontario.
GLI independently tests and inspects electronic gaming products, with products that conform with GLI standards able to acquire a ‘Gaming Labs Certified’ mark. DS Virtual Gaming said on LinkedIn: “We’re thrilled to announce that DS Virtual Gaming has been certified by GLI for Ontario! This certification opens up new opportunities for us as we expand our presence and offer our innovative virtual games to players in the region.”
A range of operators and suppliers have also received GLI certification in the past. This includes the Digitain Sportsbook in December 2021, Elys in March 2022, Bet Booth in October 2022 and Swifty Global in October 2023. On receiving GLI certification, Swifty Global CEO James Gibbons said: “Reaching this stage not only marks the culmination of over a year's rigorous development of the platform, but it also sets the stage for the next phase of our growth strategy.”
Good to know: GLI was created in 1989 and has since ‘certified millions of land-based, online and lottery device and system items,’ according to its website
