- Rootz is the parent company of the online casino
Wildz, a Rootz Limited subsidiary, has become the new sponsor of German football team FC Schalke 04. The team, full name Fußballclub Gelsenkirchen-Schalke 04 e. V, has agreed to an initial two-year partnership with the online casino.
As part of the deal, Wildz will be visible on the board of the team’s home stadium, Veltins-Arena, during all future home games. Its logo will also be visible on crowd figures, displayed on the video cube, as well as FC Schalke 04’s social media channels.
On the partnership, FC Schalke 04 CEO Matthias Tillmann said: “As in football, Wildz focuses on fair play and the fun of the game. The company works with the world's leading gaming providers and offers entertaining and responsible gameplay.”
Wildz CEO Sam Brown added: “We are extremely excited about partnering with FC Schalke 04, one of Germany’s most historic and iconic football clubs. S04 stands for an intense love for the game shared by its millions of unique and passionate fans.

"The same passion and intensity is reflected in our own philosophy at Rootz, which is why we see this collaboration as a perfect synergy to reach new heights together.”
Earlier this year, Rootz partnered with Peter & Sons, bringing gaming content from game development studio into its portfolio to share in Malta Gaming Authority and Ontario-licensed markets.
The news followed a shuffling of leadership both last year and earlier this year, with Rootz appointing Brown as CEO in July 2023 and Maria Boelius as Chief Revenue and Operations Officer in March of this year.
