- The collaboration represents GiG’s first entry into the Latin American market

- Mexico’s regulated online gaming market is projected to grow significantly, with GGR forecast to reach $3.7bn by 2028

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has expanded its presence into Latin America with the launch of its iGaming platform in Mexico, in collaboration with long-standing partner LuckyDays.

This marks GiG’s first venture into the region and continues its strategy of entering high-growth, regulated markets.

The move allows LuckyDays to utilise GiG’s CoreX platform and AI tools, DataX and LogicX, to enhance operations, focusing on player acquisition and retention.

This launch builds on their previous successes in Ontario, Sweden and other regulated markets. The companies expect to begin regulated operations in Mexico starting January 2025, contingent upon final government approval.

Richard Carter, GiG CEO, said: “This agreement represents a combination of a high-growth market and our established, successful partnership with LuckyDays. Together, we have the ideal elements to enhance our partner's operations through cutting-edge, next-generation technology and our extensive experience in navigating evolving regulatory landscapes.”

Good to know: The partnership is also expected to leverage the growth potential of Mexico’s online gaming industry, which is projected to reach $3.7bn in gross gaming revenue by 2028, as reported by H2 Gambling Capital. Regulation of the market falls under Mexico's General Directorate of Games and Raffles.

A LuckyDays spokesperson said: “GiG's proven solutions empower us to launch and scale effectively in this new market, aligning with our vision for sustained growth and exceptional player experiences. We look forward to a successful expansion in Mexico and beyond, bringing our high-quality offerings to a broader audience with GiG as a trusted partner."

This development follows GiG’s expansion into the Asian market through a partnership with Bloomberry Resorts in the Philippines. GiG has also strengthened its presence in Europe, with new agreements in the UK and Denmark earlier this year.
