Catena Media signs exclusive affiliate partnership with Daily Racing Form

Key points:

– DRF customers will be given sports betting content and promotions

– The website covers horseracing in North America

Catena Media and Daily Racing Form (DRF) have agreed on an exclusive affiliate parternship.

DRF provides news and data coverage to sports and horseracing fans in North America, while also providing interactive past performances, propriety handicapping and analytics tools, and expert picks.

Through this agreement with Catena Media, DRF’s customers will be given sports betting content and promotions through the DRF websites.

In a similar deal for Catena Media, the affiliate signed a content and commercial media partnership agreement with The Sporting News last year, seeing it become the exclusive betting partner of the sports newspaper.

Catena Media CEO Manuel Stan said: “We are honoured to partner with one of the most legendary horse racing brands in the world.

“Catena Media’s expertise in gambling tips and sports editorial coverage content align with DRF’s mission to remain the industry’s most trusted handicapping resource.”

Good to know: Catena Media’s third quarter report for 2024 showed a 33% decrease in revenue

Affinity Interactive CEO Scott Butera added: “This marks an exciting new chapter for the Daily Racing Form as we expand into the sports betting affiliate space.

“Catena Media’s powerful marketing platform provides the perfect vehicle to introduce sports bettors to DRF’s industry leading editorial content and handicapping products. This partnership represents a significant growth opportunity for both organizations, and I am confident it will become an invaluable resource for all our customers.”

In other affiliate news this week, XLMedia has proposed to undertake an initial tender offer for up to £16m ($20.12m), a value which represents around half of its value related to potential total available cash, as the group closes down.
