Key points:
- Habanero’s portfolio, including games such as Hyper Hues and Zeus Deluxe, will now be available in Greece
- Greece’s iGaming market is expected to grow to nearly $1.9bn by 2029
- The move follows Habanero’s recent entry into Brazil and Peru’s regulated gaming markets
Habanero has received approval to operate in Greece, allowing the supplier to offer its full portfolio of slot and table games to operators within the country’s regulated iGaming market.
Titles such as Hyper Hues, Hot Hot Fruit, Mystic Fortune Deluxe and Zeus Deluxe are among those licensed for distribution.
Greece’s iGaming sector is positioned as a growth market in Europe, with projections suggesting it will reach a value of nearly $1.9bn by 2029. Habanero’s expansion into this market aligns with its strategy to establish a presence in regulated jurisdictions worldwide.
Good to know: This approval comes shortly after Habanero gained certification in Peru’s regulated market in December 2024, allowing it to supply games to over 50 operators
Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development at Habanero, said: “Getting our Greek licence is another exciting milestone for us as we look to expand our reach into this vibrant market in 2025. Following our Brazil licence, this is another great moment for us as we look to get the year off to a strong start and keep building on it.”
In January 2024, Habanero partnered with SkillOnNet, integrating its games into platforms such as PlayOJO and Spin Genie. It also obtained a Swedish B2B licence in late 2023.
