Key points:

– RMG and SIS have extended their LBO distribution agreement until the end of 2028

– The deal ensures continued access to high-profile racecourses, including Cheltenham, Aintree and York

Racecourse Media Group (RMG) and Sports Information Services (SIS) have announced an extension of their agreement for the distribution and transmission of audio-visual and data content to licensed betting offices (LBOs) across the UK and Ireland.

The extended partnership, which will run until the end of 2028, ensures continued access to RMG’s horseracing content for betting operators.

Commenting on the extended deal, Richard Ames, CEO of SIS, stated: “I am delighted to have extended our arrangement with RMG for a further three-year period.

“Over the last eight years of representing RMG’s rights the relationship between the parties has gone from strength to strength, and this new arrangement is a testament to our collaborative working practices.”

Good to know: RMG’s portfolio includes some of the most well-known racecourses in the UK, such as Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom Downs, Newmarket and Sandown Park

Nick Mills, CEO of RMG, added: “We look forward to extending the partnership and working closely with SIS and our LBO partners to grow interest and betting on RMG content.

“LBO revenue remains a significant media rights income for the sport and this deal further increases the value of RMG’s content in the LBO marketplace.”

This extension follows several other deals made by SIS in recent months, including a multimedia partnership with Betfred announced in February that upgraded the operator’s production facilities and broadcasting capabilities from Media City in Salford.

Just prior to this, SIS also expanded its esports betting offerings through a partnership with Novibet that brought its H2H Global Gaming League content to customers across Latin America and Europe.
