Genius Sports expands data partnership with Grid Esports

Data supplier Grid Esports has announced a new partnership agreement with Genius Sports for the provision of esports data to the latter’s sportsbook offering.
More specifically, Grid will now allow Genius Sports access to its streaming and data visualisations as part of the new agreement. As the current exclusive licence holder of multiple esports formats, Grid will provide the sportsbook with live data from esports such as League of Legends, Valorant and Rainbow Six. Further, Genius will now have access to a portfolio of CS2 and Dota 2 data from esports tournaments as part of this new integration arrangement.
Commenting on this development, Matt Stephenson, Global Partnerships Director at Genius Sports, said: “We are thrilled to announce these new partnerships with Bayes and Grid, two leaders in their field, to create an unrivalled esports content suite for our sportsbook partners. As the new home of esports for sportsbooks, we will provide our partners with the highest-quality data and odds on the most prestigious titles in the sport.”

Indeed, this latest announcement comes following the appointment of Mark Kropf as Chief Technology Officer in October. More recently, in March, the company fell under legal scrutiny after being sued by Panda Interactive – alongside Sportradar – for alleged antitrust violations.
This recent announcement comes following an additional similar deal between Genius and Bayes Esports in August 2024.
