Playtech has expanded its presence in the Ontario online gaming market by launching content from its subsidiary studio Eyecon, in partnership with operator SkillOnNet.

The move marks the first time Eyecon’s game titles will be available to players in Ontario.

Eyecon, featuring slot titles such as Fluffy Favourites, Temple of Iris and Shaman’s Dream, brings over a decade of experience in the UK market and is now leveraging its long-standing collaboration with SkillOnNet to enter Ontario.

Commenting on the deal, Paul Gielbert, Commercial Director at Eyecon, stated: “The launch of our games in Ontario with SkillOnNet is an important milestone in our Group’s strategy to expand into new markets.

“SkillOnNet is a key operator in the Ontario market, and we are excited to be building on our already strong relationship with them as our exclusive partner for this launch.”

Jani Kontturi, Head of Games at SkillOnNet, added: “We’re thrilled to extend our relationship with Playtech and introduce Eyecon’s portfolio of exciting and high-performing games to the Ontario market.

“We’re committed to providing the best and most comprehensive collection of content on our platforms in all the jurisdictions we operate in so that we can build the best UX possible.”

Good to know: The Ontario launch represents just the beginning of Eyecon's Canadian market entry, with plans to partner with additional Ontario-based operators throughout 2025

This expansion comes amid a period of activity for Playtech, which recently launched over 120 bingo sites across the UK through a partnership with ProgressPlay.

Shortly prior to that, the company also appointed John Gleasure as Chairman Elect ahead of its May 2025 annual general meeting.
