Mr Vegas becomes Sheffield Wednesday’s front-of-shirt sponsor

Key points:

– Mr Vegas has been named Sheffield Wednesday’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2025/26 season, replacing its previous back-of-shirt role

– The partnership includes fan-focused promotions and operates in compliance with UK Gambling Commission rules

– The move comes amid broader shifts in gambling sponsorship, with the Premier League phasing out front-of-shirt deals

Mr Vegas, an online casino brand operated by Immense Group, has been confirmed as the new principal front-of-shirt sponsor for Sheffield Wednesday Football Club ahead of the 2025/26 season.

This marks the brand’s first front-of-shirt sponsorship in UK football, following a previous back-of-shirt partnership during the 2024/25 season.

Commenting on the new deal, Marco Trucco, Chief Marketing Officer at Immense Group, stated: “Last season, Mr Vegas had the players’ backs. This year, we’re proud to be front and centre on Sheffield Wednesday’s shirts. We’re deepening our partnership with the club at a time when Mr Vegas is becoming the online casino of choice for many customers.

“We particularly applaud Sheffield Wednesday for partnering with a fully licensed and responsible operator. It’s a decision that reflects the club’s values and ensures fans engage with a trusted, secure platform. We’re excited to bring ‘that Vegas feeling’ to Hillsborough once again, with thrilling promotions and exclusive experiences planned throughout the season.”

Good to know: Initiatives in the previous season included season ticket raffles, VIP experiences and publicity-generating stunts such as a darts challenge between Sheffield Wednesday’s head coach and world champion Michael Smith

The partnership is designed to extend beyond shirt branding, with a continued focus on interactive, fan-facing promotions.

This development follows a broader trend of betting brands maintaining or expanding football sponsorships across the English Football League, including CopyBet, which extended its front-of-shirt partnership with Queens Park Rangers earlier this month.
