Per Jaldung has been named the Managing Director of Casinos Austria International. The executive announced taking on this new role on social media.
Jaldung said: “I am truly proud and excited to take on the challenge as Managing Director of Casinos Austria International. It’s interesting to work from our headquarters in Vienna a city rich in history and full of opportunities.
“I really look forward to collaborating with the team to strengthen our existing businesses across our countries and to explore new opportunities for the company in the international gaming market.”
However, this new role is not going to affect his current duties with Grand Casino Brussels.
The executive commented: “At the same time, I will continue as CEO of Grand Casino Brussels @Viage, a responsibility I can balance thanks to a talented and dedicated local team there.”
Throughout his time in the casino industry, Jaldung has worked to combat illegal activity.
He said in an exclusive interview with Gambling Insider: “I remember working 24 hours a day for weeks at the beginning. Of course we had incidents. We had some cheating, some fraud. But you gain experience dealing with such threats.
“We also had great trainers, in our case from Holland Casino, with around 100 people who helped us with both security and gaming; we got so much knowhow from Holland Casino when we set up Casino Cosmopol in Sweden.”
Among his other achievements, Jaldung claimed the CEO of the Year title in 2021 at the Global Gaming Awards in London.
Casinos Austria has developed a knack for attracting some of the industry’s top talent, prizing Erwin van Laambart away from Holland Casino to become its General Director back in 2022.
