Bragg Gaming confirms cybersecurity incident
Supplier takes immediate action to investigate and mitigate.
Key points:
– Bragg Gaming has identified a cybersecurity incident affecting its internal systems
– Preliminary investigations indicate no personal customer data was compromised and operations remain fully functional
Bragg Gaming has announced it became aware of a cybersecurity incident early Saturday morning, 16 August 2025.
The supplier took immediate steps to contain the incident and engaged independent cybersecurity experts to assist with the investigation in line with industry best practice.
Based on initial findings, the breach appears to have been contained within Bragg’s internal computer environment. At this stage, there is no evidence to suggest that any personal information of customers or partners was affected.
Over the past several years, the gaming industry has faced multiple cybersecurity incidents affecting both land-based and online operations.
Notable examples include Kewadin Casinos’ phased reopening after a breach in November 2024 and International Game Technology investigating unauthorised access to internal systems, highlighting ongoing risks and the importance of robust security measures.
The most high-profile incidents, however, befell MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment.
This incident has not disrupted the company’s operations nor restricted access to any data affected by the breach.
Good to know: Customers and partners are advised to monitor official channels for updates, but no immediate action is required
Bragg is continuing to remediate the situation and is working with experts to further secure its systems.
The company will provide updates on the investigation as they become available. The latest information will be published on Bragg’s website.
This announcement follows Bragg Gaming’s Q2 results, which saw revenue increase 5% to €26.1m despite a dip in EBITDA.
It also comes after the company expanded its US presence through a partnership with Fanatics Casino, rolling out its iGaming content in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
